Work4Rights 2.0

The WORK4RIGHTS 2.0 project was born as part of the Work4Rights initiative, activated on an experimental basis between 2019 and 2021, which has achieved excellent results, inserting as many as 100 international protection seekers into the productive context of Brescia, integrated into 7 local workplaces. Of these, about a third have been hired with fixed-term contracts. The first edition of Work4Rights, implemented, between 2019 and 2021, was awarded the "WE WELCOME" logo by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which recognized the Cooperative as a "WELCOMING REALITY" precisely thanks to this initiative that made possible for the beneficiaries a new beginning, not only from a labor point of view, but above all human, becoming themselves an integral part of the Italian social fabric.

WORK4RIGHTS 2.0 aims to promote policies to welcome and integrate refugees and migrants by improving and facilitating training and labor market access services.

The project involves:

  1. Mapping of productive realities in the Brescia area with the aim of intercepting welcoming productive realities capable of activating an internship and mentoring path in collaboration with our cooperative.
  1. Activation of 5 job placements of international protection applicants housed in the facilities we manage.
  1. Promotion of asylum seekers' autonomy and independence through increased skills. Job placement becomes the means of gaining new economic and housing autonomy and a means of integration into the social and community context.

WORK4RIGHTS 2.O is a project supported with Eight Per Thousand funds from the Waldensian Church.
