Housing for the autonomy of new adults

The Cooperative "Un sole per tutti" is committed to providing a housing service for autonomy for young adults, particularly girls and boys aged 18 to 21.
This service is part of the project "A casa fuori casa" designed in response to the significant influx of unaccompanied foreign minors(MSNA) detected by the Social Services in the Brescia area.
Once these young people reach the age of majority, it becomes essential to offer them a path toward independence and social and labor integration in Italy.

Our project includes several vital components:

  • Accommodation in Semi-Protected Apartments: We provide accommodation in semi-protected apartments for youth in collaboration with Social Services. These facilities are designed to foster autonomy and personal growth.
  • Educational Projects: We work together with these young people to help them achieve personal, housing, social and work autonomy through personalized educational projects. These projects are constructed considering the individual needs of each guest.
  • Support Services: We offer literacy and linguistic-cultural mediation services to facilitate the integration of youth into the Italian context. We also provide psychological support services and ethno-clinical interventions to address the emotional and psychological challenges that may arise during this journey.

The accommodations provide pathways of a maximum of one year, but can be extended based on specific needs and goals agreed upon with Social Services.
The pathway begins with an initial cohabitation phase and can then include a transition to single housing, following the timeframe and goals defined in the individual educational project.

In the educational project, we identify three crucial areas to be monitored and developed:personal and housingautonomy, literacy and training, and job placement.
We define personalized goals that relate to listening and guidance, strengthening individual and relational resources, and emotional support through the activation of specific psychological support services or ethno-clinical mediation.
